Opting out of WSIB?

If you are involved in a collision during the course of your employment, you have to speak to an employment representative if you have access to WSIB.

If so, you cannot claim both under WSIB and commence a lawsuit and obtain Accident Benefit benefits.

If you have access to WSIB, you will need to make an election –opt in or out.

It’s important to speak to your employer representative, supervisor, manager or Human Resources to know what your options are.
